Seaview Christian College is a co-educational Christian school located in Port Augusta, South Australia, at the top of the Spencer Gulf, where the backdrop of the Flinders Ranges provides for an idyllic setting. To learn more about our Christian faith, please view our Statement of Faith below.

The College commenced operations in January 2016 as a Reception to Year 5 school. Year 6 was added in 2017 and an additional year level will be added each succeeding year through to Year 12 by 2023.

About the position

Seaview Christian College is an independent, co-educational school from Reception - Year 12.  In 2016, Seaview Christian College commenced in Port Augusta as part of the Christian Community Ministries network of Colleges. The College has modern facilities, growing enrolments and enjoys strong community support. Seaview Christian College is currently seeking a permanent, full time Reception Teacher to commence in January 2022.


The Successful Applicant will: 

  • Have appropriate teaching qualifications

  • Have a current Christian church leader as a referee

  • Be able to be registered in South Australia

  • Support the College's vision, aims and values

  • Be innovative and enthusiastic with a passion for curriculum

  • Contribute to co-curricular activities

  • Have effective interpersonal and communications skills

  • Be experienced in promoting effective student welfare and behaviour management

  • Have strong organisational skills, with an ability to effectively prioritise

  • Have the ability to teach from a Christian perspective, including teaching Biblical Studies

The Board of Christian Community Ministries is seeking applications for the role of Principal at Seaview Christian College (Port Augusta, SA) for 2022.

Christian Community Ministries (CCM) has a workforce of more than 1,100 staff across a growing network of Christian schools. CCM owns and operates twelve schools (eight in Queensland, one in New South Wales, two in South Australia, one in Western Australia), early learning (childcare) centres associated with five schools in Queensland, a campsite and outdoor education provider based in Queensland and a national Registered Training Organisation (RTO). The aim of CCM is to provide a values-based, Christian education for all who desire it.

Seaview Christian College is the smallest school within the CCM group with a current student cohort of 81 from Reception to Year 9.  The College has accreditation from Reception to Year 12 and will be offering Reception to Year 10 in 2022.  There are currently 15 staff employed at the College with an approximate FTE of 12.
